The London open's signature: it usually "decides" the day's direction. In the first hours (2–4 PM), Gold typically does one of two things: (1) breaks directly out of the Asian range, or (2) sweeps one side of the Asian High/Low to trigger stops before reversing the other way.

NY's signature: fast, aggressive moves. A trend that started in London can accelerate — or reverse entirely (the "NY reversal") — especially after 10 PM when London desks start closing positions.
