A liquidity void is a larger area than an FVG where price ran through with almost no trading. It forms on big news — and it is where beginners lose the most money.

If you have read the Fair Value Gap lesson, you already almost know what a liquidity void is. It is the same thing — an imbalance. The only difference is size.

Volume imbalance is the smallest sibling. It forms when two candle bodies do not touch but their wicks still overlap. It is tiny and rarely matters much.

A void is larger, so the return takes longer. An FVG can be filled within hours. A void can stay open for weeks or months.

That is a $34 liquidity void, not an ordinary FVG.
The difference: a $5–10 FVG is often filled within hours. A $34 void can take days or weeks.
How to use it: do not trade inside the void itself. Mark its midpoint at 4,055 and wait for price to return there over the following days — that is the tradeable reaction zone.
