A unicorn is when a breaker block and an FVG overlap. Two signals confirming each other means higher conviction — but the name is also the warning: they are rare.

Unicorn ជាអ្វី? What a Unicorn Is

The name means what it says: rare. It happens when a breaker block and an FVG overlap at the same price level.

Why does it matter? Because it is confluence — two independent signals pointing at the same thing. When two signals agree, your conviction is higher.

The overlap (indigo) is the unicorn. It is smaller than either zone alone — so the stop is tighter and the R:R is better.

The key point: a unicorn is the intersection of the two zones, not their sum. It is smaller than either one.

This ties everything together: a unicorn needs a breaker (lesson 11), which needs an OB (lesson 10), plus an FVG (lesson 6). If you have not mastered those three, "unicorn" is just a pretty word.

Entry, SL និង TP Entry, Stop and Target

The most important warning in this lesson: do not hunt for unicorns. Traders spend hours staring at charts trying to force a breaker and an FVG to overlap. If you have to hunt for it, it is not there. A real unicorn is visible in seconds.

Remember that unicorns are rare — perhaps a few times a month on XAUUSD. This is not a daily strategy. If you are finding five a day, you are fooling yourself.

ឧទាហរណ៍ XAUUSD XAUUSD Example

ឧទាហរណ៍លើ XAUUSD (M15)៖ តម្លៃ Sweep សន្ទុះ Liquidity ខាងលើ Swing High មួយនៅ 4,058 រួច Reverse ចុះខ្លាំង។ ការធ្លាក់នោះបង្កើត Breaker Block នៅ 4,052–4,050 ហើយក្នុងចលនាដដែលកើតមាន FVG ត្រួតស៊ីគ្នា (Overlap) នៅ 4,052–4,051។ តំបន់ត្រួតគ្នានេះ = Unicorn។ Entry (Sell)៖ ពេលតម្លៃ Retrace ឡើងមកតំបន់ Overlap (~4,051.5)។ Stop Loss៖ ខាងលើ Breaker/High ~4,059 (ចម្ងាយ ~7–8 ដុល្លារ)។ Target៖ Sell-side Liquidity ខាងក្រោម នៅ 4,035 (~16 ដុល្លារ) — ផ្តល់ R:R ប្រហែល 1:2។

XAUUSD example (M15): price sweeps liquidity above a swing high at 4,058, then reverses sharply down. That drop leaves a breaker block at 4,052–4,050, and within the same move an FVG overlaps it at 4,052–4,051. That overlap is the unicorn. Entry (sell): on the retrace up into the overlap, around 4,051.5. Stop: above the breaker high at ~4,059, about 7–8 dollars away. Target: the sell-side liquidity below at 4,035, about 16 dollars — roughly a 1:2 reward-to-risk.

Enter at the overlap, stop just beyond the breaker, target the opposing liquidity.

Rare — only a few times a month on gold. Don't hunt for it.
