As covered in the "Setting Up Price Alerts" lesson — desktop MT4/MT5 alerts only work while the platform is running on your computer. TradingView alerts, by contrast, run on TradingView's servers, so they never stop, even if your computer is off, the power cuts, or your home internet drops.

Beyond that, TradingView alerts aren't limited to price — you can attach them to trendlines, channels, and Fibonacci levels you've drawn, and to indicators (e.g. RSI above 70, an MA crossover), which MT4 cannot do easily.

វិធីទី 1 — Alert តម្លៃរហ័ស៖ ដាក់ Mouse លើមាត្រដ្ឋានតម្លៃ (Price Scale) ខាងស្ដាំ → ចុចប៊ូតុង "+" ដែលលេចឡើង → Alert ត្រូវបានបង្កើតត្រង់តម្លៃនោះភ្លាម។ ឬចុច Right-click ត្រង់កន្លែងណាមួយលើក្រាហ្វិក → "Add alert"។

Method 1 — Quick price alert: hover over the price scale on the right → click the "+" button that appears → an alert is created at that exact price. Or right-click anywhere on the chart → "Add alert".

វិធីទី 2 — Alert លើការគូសវាស៖ គូស Trendline ឬ Horizontal Line របស់អ្នក → Right-click លើបន្ទាត់នោះ → "Add alert on…"។ ឥឡូវនេះពេលតម្លៃប៉ះបន្ទាត់ (សូម្បីតែបន្ទាត់ទ្រេត!) អ្នកនឹងទទួលបានការជូនដំណឹង។ នេះជាមុខងារដែល Trader បច្ចេកទេសស្រឡាញ់បំផុត។

Method 2 — Alert on drawings: draw your trendline or horizontal line → right-click the line → "Add alert on…". Now whenever price touches the line (even a sloped one!), you get notified. This is the feature technical traders love most.

វិធីទី 3 — Alert លើ Indicator៖ ចុចរូបកណ្ដឹង (Alert) នៅរបារខាងលើ ឬចុច Alt+A → ក្នុងប្រអប់ Condition ជ្រើសរើស Indicator ជំនួសតម្លៃ (ឧ. "RSI Crossing Up 70" ឬ "MA Cross")។ ក្នុងប្រអប់ដដែលនេះ អ្នកកំណត់៖ Trigger (Only Once ឬ Every Time), ពេលផុតកំណត់ (Expiration) និងសារ (Message) ដែលចង់ឃើញ។

Method 3 — Indicator alerts: click the bell icon on the top bar or press Alt+A → in the Condition box, choose an indicator instead of price (e.g. "RSI Crossing Up 70" or "MA Cross"). In the same dialog you set: Trigger (Only Once or Every Time), Expiration, and the Message you want to see.

ក្នុងប្រអប់បង្កើត Alert មានផ្នែក "Notifications" ដែលអ្នកអាចធីកបានច្រើនក្នុងពេលតែមួយ៖ (1) Notify in app — Push Notification ទៅ App TradingView លើទូរស័ព្ទ (ត្រូវដំឡើង App និង Login គណនីដូចគ្នា), (2) Show popup — ផ្ទាំងលេចឡើងលើ Browser, (3) Send email — ផ្ញើទៅ Email គណនី, (4) Play sound — សំឡេងរោទ៍ជាមួយជម្រើសសំឡេងផ្សេងៗ។

In the alert dialog, the "Notifications" section lets you tick several options at once: (1) Notify in app — push notification to the TradingView mobile app (install the app and log in with the same account), (2) Show popup — a popup in your browser, (3) Send email — to your account email, (4) Play sound — an audible alarm with different tones.

គន្លឹះសម្រាប់អ្នកនៅកម្ពុជា៖ បើក Push Notification ក្នុង App ជានិច្ច ព្រោះព្រឹត្តិការណ៍ធំៗ (NFP, FOMC) ច្រើនកើតឡើងម៉ោង 19:30–02:00 យប់ម៉ោងកម្ពុជា — Alert លើទូរស័ព្ទជួយឱ្យអ្នកដឹងភ្លាម ដោយមិនចាំបាច់អង្គុយចាំមុខកុំព្យូទ័រ។ ពិនិត្យ Setting ទូរស័ព្ទឱ្យ App TradingView មានសិទ្ធិបង្ហាញ Notification ផង។

Tip for traders in Cambodia: always enable in-app push notifications, because major events (NFP, FOMC) often play out between 19:30–02:00 Cambodia time — phone alerts let you know instantly without sitting at the computer. Also check your phone settings to make sure the TradingView app has notification permission.

Free accounts allow a limited number of active price alerts (around 5), so use them wisely: only set alerts on levels with a real trade plan, and delete old alerts you no longer need. Choose "Only Once" for entry levels and set an expiration so stale alerts don't pile up.

Write clear messages: instead of the default text, write your own plan, e.g. "XAUUSD hit 4000 support — check M15 price action before buying". When the alert fires, you instantly know what to do rather than trying to remember why you set it. Remember: alerts only notify — the trade decision is still yours, so always check the chart first.
